Facebook has become more and more dominant over the past couple of years. It seems as if people used to use myspace but have now transition to facebook. As any kind of media use facebook has its negatives and positives. Itis great to have a facebook profile to keep in touch with those friends from different schools and institutions that you might nt see or do not have their phone number. You can keep in touch with them through facebook. Sometimes different friends leave to go overseas and instead of having an extremely high phone bill. It is also very convenient for family members who live far from each other to keep in touch with their loved ones and see their pictures whenever they get ready. It used to just be college students who would interact through facebook but now its common to see your parents or grandparents with their own profile for facebook. It is good for them to see children and grandchildren whenever they like. It has taken over the computers all over especially on the college campuses. It can be a distraction for students who might need to do some work online and want to check their page before starting and it turns into an all night chat session.
